The South African Centre for Digital Language Resources (SADiLaR) is a national centre supported by the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) as part of the [South African Research Infrastructure Roadmap](https://www.dst.gov.za/images/Attachments/Department_of_Science_and_Technology_SARIR_2016.pdf) (SARIR).

The group looks to use technology to aid and improve understanding of and investigation into social phenomena. Current research in the group makes extensive use of publicly available digital trace data to investigate a number of social problems.

Human Science Research Council (HSRC)

The HSRC is the largest dedicated research institute in the social sciences and humanities on the African continent, doing cutting-edge public research in areas that are crucial to development.
